The Egyptian High Priest serves as Vizier to Merneptah. He wears a mask bearing the jackal head of Anubis, the God of Death.
When Moses and Aaron appear before Pharaoh and turn a staff into a snake, the Priest performs a similar trick with a red cloth, but the red and black snakes he conjures are eaten by Moses' cobra.
After the Tenth Plague, the Priest and his subordinates are seen preparing Merneptah's eldest son's body for burial. He informs Merneptah that the man who had led the slaves from Egypt was his old friend Moses, causing a vengeful Pharaoh to pursue the Hebrews.
