Jacob was the son of Isaac, the grandson of Abraham, and the father of Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Joseph, Benjamin and seven others. Jacob's favorite son was Joseph, which he showed by giving Joseph a coat of many colors. 9 of Jacob's other sons planned on killing Joseph, but Reuben, Jacob's oldest son, told his brothers to just throw him in a pit. Afterwards Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers. Jacob was told that a mountain lion killed his son. He then began favoring his other son Benjamin, who was the only other son of Jacob's that was a full brother of Joseph. 23 years after Joseph was sold into slavery, Jacob and Joseph reunited in Egypt.

• In the Bible, Jacob had a daughter named Dinah.
• He was voiced by Gerald James.
• His name means " heel ", because he grabbed his twin brother's heel when he was born.
• In the Bible had a twin brother named Esau which means " Red ", because he was covered with Red hair.
• In the Bible he had 2 wives and 2 concubines. His 2 wives were Leah and Rachel. His two concubines were named Zilpah and Bilhah.
• Jacob wanted to marry Rachel but was tricked into marrying Leah, Rachel's older sister. Leah and Rachel are both cousins of Jacob.
• He was 90 when Joseph was born and 102 when Benjamin was born.
